New Anthrodam (“New Anthrodam,” “We,” or “Us”), a convention operated by the New York Anthropomorphic Appreciation Association, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can update, manage, export, and delete your information.
We may change this policy from time to time. If the changes are minor, we will post them to this page. This Privacy Policy covers how we treat your personally identifiable information that we collect and receive regarding your use of the domains we control (our “Website”) and your use of New Anthrodam’s services (our “Services”), including convention registration and our online applications and forms.

- us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by New Anthrodam or any third party; or

We collect certain personal information when you use the Website, register for the convention, submit an application or form, place an order, or otherwise communicate with us via the Website, Services, or other means (e.g. email). Personal information we collect includes but is not limited to:

- Information you provide via fillable forms or text boxes, including applications such as our panel application;

- Directly from you when you provide it to us — for example, when you register for the convention, submit an application or form, place an order, or contact us;

- From the third-party services we use to operate the convention and Website.
We rely on the following third-party services, each of which processes your information in accordance with its own privacy policy:
- Registration and payment for the convention are handled through the New Anthrodam Registration Site, powered by Convention Master.
- We use Google Workspace (including services such as Gmail and Google Forms) to receive, store, and manage information, including communications with us and certain applications and forms (such as our panel application). See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the Website and Services are used. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Payment processing is handled by Square. See Square’s Privacy Policy.

- All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers behind firewalls;
- All communication between you and the Website is encrypted using a standard TLS channel, which may use RSA-based or elliptic-curve cryptography;
- Any information you provide via the New Anthrodam Registration Site, powered by Convention Master, is encrypted during transit using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. This includes any information you provide to complete a registration for the New Anthrodam convention; and
- Payment transactions are processed by Square over encrypted connections; we do not store full payment card details on our own servers.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website beyond the responsibility required by law.
Your Choice to Control Your Personal Data
Users of our Website maintain their rights under the GDPR:

To request erasure of personal data, customers should submit a request to info@newanthrodam.com. If you request that any of your personal data be deleted, we reserve the right to terminate and/or limit your access to the Services to the extent Services cannot be reasonably provided without that information.
- Requests for Personal Data: We will track each of the following and will provide notice to the appropriate parties under law and contract when either of the following circumstances arise: (a) a legally binding request for disclosure of the personal data by a law enforcement authority unless prohibited by law or regulation; or (b) requests received from the customer.
- Satisfying Requests for Access, Modifications, and Corrections: We will endeavor to respond in a timely manner to all reasonable written requests to view, modify, or inactivate personal data.
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
- Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may not be able to perform services or tasks that necessitate cookies.
- Communications with New Anthrodam. We will always ask you if you wish to have your email address/contact information used by New Anthrodam to promote our own or third parties’ products or services. All communication will only be sent if you opt in to receive such communications. If you have elected to receive communications but no longer wish to receive them, you can opt out by sending us an email stating your request to info@newanthrodam.com or by updating the contact preferences associated with your email address. This opt-out does not apply to information provided to New Anthrodam as a result of a product purchase or other transactions.
Changing or Deleting Your Data
You can change or delete any optional information that you have provided us at any time. If you change or delete any optional information you have provided, the change will take place immediately.
You can also choose to delete your account entirely. If you choose to delete your account entirely, we will retain any personally-identifying information for a limited amount of time before removing it entirely. This is to allow you to undelete your account and continue using the service if you so choose. After this time, all your personally-identifying information will be removed entirely from our service, with the exception of any records we must retain for a limited period to document compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., transaction and donation records for accounting and tax compliance, up to 7 years).
As part of the day-to-day operation of the New York Anthropomorphic Appreciation Association, we will make regular copies of the data contained in our databases for backup purposes. These backups can potentially contain deleted data for several weeks or months. These backups are also governed by the rules for disclosure of personally-identifying information.
Children Under the Age of 16
Our Website is not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any information to or on the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on this Website or through any of its features, register on the Website, make any purchases through the Website, use any of the interactive or public comment features of this Website, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use.
