We’ve worked hard to build a team that’s experienced in running conventions, and we’re proud to say this is not our first rodeo. Among our ranks are veterans from around the world who helped shape and bring amazing conventions to life: from Pittsburgh to San Francisco, from Germany to Vancouver, from Sweden to the amazing Down Under in Australia, and everywhere in between.
Chairs
Kloree (he/they) is an Amur Tiger born and raised in Gravesend, Brooklyn and has been a furry for over 30 years. Primarily online for most of that time, he longed for the opportunity to meet other furries in NYC for years until realizing that there were so many more furries hiding behind their keyboards in NYC than expected. Venturing out into his first con, Kloree broke the glass and promptly got sucked into the furry convention circuit crazy train. Mentored by some of the best event runners in the furry world, he set out to craft New Anthrodam to bring the NYC furries a convention that has been long awaited.
Carbon (he/they) has been involved with the furry fandom and its conventions for the better part of a decade. From founding Furries at Berkeley to serving on the staff team of some of the fandom’s oldest and largest conventions, he is passionate about making the fandom a better place. Some of his furry convention experience include Further Confusion, Anthro New England, Anthrocon, and Furry Weekend Atlanta.
Outside of the lab (yes, this wolf is a biochemist and bioengineer :3), Carbon is an avid fan of board gaming, SCUBA diving, traveling, and photography.
As daunting as it is to start a convention in one of the busiest cities in the nation on such a short timeline, Carbon welcomes a challenge and is excited to put his diverse set of experiences and skills to the test at New Anthrodam!
