FAQ
Quick answers before you arrive
Here are answers to the questions we hear most, about registration, life at the con and getting to the hotel.
Can’t find what you need? At the con, ask any staff member.

Registration and Badges
How do I register, and how much is it?
Register online through our Registration page, which lists every badge level and price. Pre-registration pricing runs until November 4, and at-the-door prices start November 5.
When and where do I pick up my badge?
At Registration on the Promenade: Friday 9–11am and 12–9pm, Saturday 10am–8pm, and Sunday 10am–3pm.
What do I need to bring?
If you’re 18 or over, a valid government-issued photo ID. Photos of an ID aren’t accepted.
Can someone pick up my badge for me?
No. Only you can pick up your badge, so we can’t hand it to anyone else.
Can I get a refund or transfer my badge?
We can’t refund registrations, but you can transfer yours to another attendee for this year or roll it over to next year. Email reg@newanthrodam.com with the name and email you registered with.
I have a Benefactor + Hotel or Benefactor + Suite package. How do my friends get their free badges?
Each friend creates an account and registers on our Registration page, without picking a tier. Then email reg@newanthrodam.com with their names or UIDs, and we’ll upgrade them to the complimentary standard badges in your package: one with Benefactor + Hotel, three with Benefactor + Suite.
Can minors attend?
Yes, with a signed consent form. Under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with their own paid membership. See Registration for the forms and the full rules.
At the Con
Do I need my badge everywhere?
In convention space, yes: it’s marked on the venue map. The hotel lobby, restaurants and other public areas are open to everyone.
Can I bring props or weapons?
Real or functional weapons are banned, and so is anything that looks like one, permit or not. Not sure about a prop? Email info@newanthrodam.com or ask the Safety team at Con Ops. See the Code of Conduct for details.
Can I wear my fursuit around the hotel?
Yes. Full fursuits count as clothing in the hotel’s public areas as long as they aren’t overly suggestive. Follow the hotel’s rules about where costumes aren’t allowed, and take a break in the Headless Lounge.
Is alcohol allowed?
Not in the con’s public areas, only in the hotel’s bars and restaurants. The drinking age in New York is 21.
I lost something or need help. Where do I go?
Con Ops in Salon I handles lost and found, first aid, safety and accessibility. You can also ask any staff member.
Hotel and Travel
Where do I book a room?
Through our room block at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge. See Hotel & Venue for the booking link and rates.
How do I get there?
The hotel is across the street from the Jay St–MetroTech subway station. See Getting Here for routes from the airports, train stations and by car.
Is the con accessible?
Yes. All of our convention space is step-free. See Accessibility for step-free subway stations, Access Stickers and more.
