• Take the R to the first stop in Manhattan: Whitehall Street/South Ferry, where you can admire the view of Lady Liberty from Battery Park, or take a roundtrip ferry ride to Staten Island — absolutely free — and enjoy a close-up look at the statue as you sail by.
